Lichfield Squash Club organises some regular events to provide opportunities for members to play a wider variety of other players and also get to know other members in a social setting. These include:
Beginners and Improvers Club Night
When: Tuesday evenings between 7:00 and 9:00pm.
What: Relaxed and informal social play in groups.
Who: This is suitable for complete beginners through to players who have some initial playing experience or who are beginning their improvement journey.
Cost: £5:00 per player.
Skills and Drills Session
When: Thursday evenings between 7:00pm and 7:55pm.
What: A short coaching/technical session followed by semi-competitive gameplay in groups.
Who: This is suitable for players of any level who are keen to receive some coaching, followed by gameplay to push their game to the next level through playing a wider variety of opponents of different playing abilities.
Cost: £5:00 per player.

Hit, Mix & Mingle – Women’s Squash Week at Lichfield
Join us at Lichfield Squash Club on Thursday 17 September from 7.00pm for a relaxed and friendly evening of squash, fun and socialising as part of Women’s Squash Week 2026.
Whether you’ve never picked up a squash racket before, haven’t played for years, or already enjoy the game, you’ll be very welcome.
The emphasis is firmly on having a go and enjoying yourself. We’ll have some simple racket and ball activities, fun challenges and informal games, with plenty of help and encouragement along the way. No previous experience or particular level of fitness is needed, and rackets and equipment can be provided.
After the squash, we’ll stay around for refreshments, giving everyone the chance to chat, meet other women and find out a little more about squash at Lichfield.

Lichfield Squash Festival 2026 is back on Saturday 26th September, bringing together club competition, junior squash, beginner-friendly sessions, and a great community atmosphere.
Whether you’re a seasoned player, a total beginner, a returning player, a junior, a parent, or simply squash-curious, there will be something for everyone.
What’s happening?
Try-It Sessions – Perfect for complete beginners, returners, children and adults. No racket needed — just come along and have a go.
Open Court Sessions – From 10.00am to 12.00pm, courts will be available for newcomers to try squash in a relaxed and friendly setting.
Club Closed Finals – Watch some great matches as members compete in our graded championship finals across A, B and C categories.
Junior Championship Finals – Come and support our young players as they battle it out for the Junior Championship title.
Open Play Zone – Fancy a hit? Drop in, grab a racket, and enjoy one of the most exciting and energetic sports around.
