Events

Lichfield Squash Club organises some regular events to provide opportunities for members to play a wider variety of other players and also get to know other members in a social setting. These include:

Beginners and Improvers Club Night

When: Tuesday evenings between 7:00 and 9:00pm.

Who: This is suitable for complete beginners through to players who have some initial playing experience or who are beginning their improvement journey.

Cost: £5:00 per player.

Intermediate and Advanced Club Night

When: Monday evenings between 7:00pm and 9:00pm.

Who: This is suitable for those who play competitively with a reasonable level of playing experience through to extensive experience. It is particularly good for those players who compete in the upper divisions of the club internal league and/or the team, or those who aim to do so.

Cost: £5:00 per player.

Intermediate Club Night

When: Friday evenings between 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

Who: This is suitable for those with a reasonable amount of playing experience who mainly play socially and for fun.

Cost: £5:00 per player.

England Squash Coaching Workshop

England Squash Coaching Workshop

King Edward VI School, Lichfield

This interactive coaching workshop is suitable for all levels of coach, including anyone who's never coached before but is interested in finding out more about coaching.

It will be led by former top England professional players, Tania Bailey and Paul Carter, who are part of England Squash's Elite Coaching Team.

In this four-hour workshop you will:

be informed of current England Squash projects.

Take part in or observe on-court demos and learn how to get the best out of players – from beginners to more seasoned players

Explore ways to successfully engage with different types of players and tailor your coaching accordingly

Bounce off ideas and share best practice in groups

Take inspiration, network, and build relationships with coaches in your community
